In a recent change, Amazon is no longer allowing customers to share an Amazon Prime account if they don’t share the same address. Under the Prime Invitee Program, users were able to share an Amazon Prime account (meaning they only had to pay for one account) and live at separate addresses. The program has been closed, and users will now need to have their own accounts.
However, we’ve also seen reports of accounts that were not in the program receiving messages that they’ll need to have their own Prime accounts by September 5th, rather than sharing with friends or family.
You’ll still be able to ship packages to friends and family not at your address, though, so no worries there!
