Spirit Airlines Shuts Down — Here’s How to Get Your Refund + New Flight Deals
Spirit Airlines has officially stopped all flights and shut down operations, leaving travelers to figure out refunds and new travel plans on their own. The airline says refunds will be issued depending on how you booked, but they will not assist with rebooking flights on other airlines.
After ongoing financial struggles and rising operating costs—including higher jet fuel prices—Spirit was unable to successfully emerge from its second bankruptcy and shut down operations.
