Walmart Is FINALLY Adding Tap to Pay at Checkout

GREAT NEWS, Walmart shoppers! Walmart is finally adding Tap to Pay at checkout!

Starting August 24, Tap to Pay will begin rolling out at select Walmart stores and Sam’s Club locations, with plans to bring it to all U.S. Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs by the end of 2026.

That means you’ll be able to check out using eligible contactless credit or debit cards, your phone or even your smartwatch — no need to pull up Walmart Pay in the app!

And there’s more good news for drivers: Walmart plans to bring Tap to Pay to its fuel stations by mid-2027.
