What’s This Class Action Settlement About?
The lawsuit claims the Sugared + Bronzed continued sending telemarketing text messages to consumers after they had requested that the messages stop, allegedly violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
Who Qualifies for the Settlement?
Anyone who received two or more telemarketing text messages within a 12-month period from Sugared + Bronzed or on its behalf through the Klaviyo platform after sending a stop message such as “STOP”, “UNSUBSCRIBE”, “NOOFFERS”, “NO OFFERS”, “OPT OUT”, “END”, or “QUIT.”
Qualifying messages must have been sent between August 14, 2020 and July 17, 2026.
How Much Money Can You Get?
Sugared + Bronzed LLC agreed to a payout totaling $750,000! After courted approved deductions, fees and additional costs, each class member is estimated to receive up to $222 each.
The actual payment amount may be higher or lower depending on the number of valid claims submitted.
Is Proof Required?
Proof is not necessarily required. Eligibility will be based on Sugared + Bronzed records, showing that qualifying telemarketing text messages were sent to your mobile number.
If you received a settlement notice, you can use the Login ID and PIN provided to submit your claim. If you were not sent a notice the website also provides an option to file without an ID and PIN.
