Anyone in the U.S. who purchased, received, were given and/or owned a Designated Crankset or a bicycle equipped with a Designated Crankset.

What’s This Class Action Settlement About?
The lawsuit alleges that Shimano sold defective cranksets that were prone to creating potential harm to their customers. In September 2023, Shimano voluntarily recalled their Hollowtech II cranksets that had been manufactured before July 2019, but failed to warn consumers and mishandled the recall process.
Who Qualifies for the Settlement?
Anyone who purchased, received, were given, and/or owned a Designated Crankset in the United States, other than solely for resale purposes. This includes, without limitation, anyone who purchased, received, were given, or owned a bicycle equipped with a Designated Crankset.
How Much Money Can You Get?
You may receive a reimbursement for documented out-of-pocket costs related to a qualifying crankset and installation expenses.
This settlement also automatically extend your Shimano warranty coverage through July 29, 2027
Is Proof Required?
Anyone eligible must submit a valid Claim Form along with receipts of the qualifying product. However no proof is required for the automatic extended warranty benefits.
