This Class Action Settlement Affects:
Any current or former owners and lessees of certain Mercedes-Benz BlueTEC II and Mercedes-Benz/Freightliner Sprinter BlueTEC II diesel vehicles that were registered in the United States.
Eligible vehicles generally cover model years 2009-2016.
What’s This Class Action Settlement About?
The lawsuit claims that Mercedes-Benz violated certain state environmental laws in connection with the design, manufacture, import sale and lease of certain vehicles.
Who Qualifies for the Settlement?
Anyone who has currently or previously owned or leased an eligible BlueTEC II vehicle. Eligible models includes certain E-Class, GL, GLE, ML, R-Class and S-Class BlueTEC vehicles , along with Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner Sprinter models.
How Much Money Can You Get?
Eligible class members can receive up to $2,000 per qualifying vehicles after the required AEM installation.
Is Proof Required?
Eligible class members must provide documentation supporting their eligibility, such as:
- A copy of the vehicle title, bill of sale or lease agreement
- A final repair order from an authorized Mercedes-Benz or Freightliner Sprinter dealer showing that the AEM was installed between August 1, 2023 and August 31, 2026
You must complete the installation before submitting your claim.
