  • These limited-time Kroger digital coupons usually work up to 5 times per transaction. Kroger recently updated the policy, so you can now use them across unlimited transactions — just keep it to 5 items per transaction for the coupon to apply correctly.
  • These are often the BEST deals in the weekly ad.
  • Officially, Weekly Digital Deals are not supposed to combine with digital manufacturer coupons. Unofficially? We’ve seen them stack MANY times.
• 5x Digital Coupons & Store Coupons
  • Kroger regularly offers special 5x digital coupon events with high-value store coupons that can be used up to 5 times per transaction.
  • These often stack with clearance prices on regular store shelves (not stickered clearance), which can lead to some incredible deals.
• Kroger Cash Back
  • The Kroger app also offers cashback rebates, many of which are similar to Ibotta offers.
  • These rebates usually do NOT combine with digital coupons.
  • After checkout, cashback rewards are added to your account and can be transferred to your Shopper’s Card or PayPal account once available.
• Manufacturer Digital Coupons
  • These can often be combined with Kroger sales, store coupons, and cashback apps — this is where the biggest savings happen!
  • Kroger also accepts paper manufacturer coupons, limited to 2 identical coupons per day.
• Best Customer Exclusive Coupons
  • These personalized Kroger coupons are based on your shopping habits and often include free items or high-value discounts.

3. Know the Kroger Sales & Mega Events

  • You do NOT need to buy 5 of the same item — any participating products count toward the total.

  • These sales stack beautifully with digital coupons, cashback apps, and even some clearance deals.
• Look for hidden Mega Event clearance deals
  • Some clearance items on regular shelves still qualify for Mega Event pricing, leading to CRAZY cheap finds.
  • We’ve scored shampoo for 19¢, pantry staples for 9¢, dish soap for 49¢, and more.
  • Heads up: when Mega Events start, stores sometimes replace green/yellow clearance tags with blue Mega Event tags, so scan shelves carefully for hidden markdowns.
• BOGO sales are good — but not always the best
  • Kroger runs Buy One Get One Free deals every week on rotating items.
  • These usually work out to about 50% off retail price, but Weekly Digital Deals and Mega Event sales often provide even better savings.
• 10/$10 sales don’t require buying 10
  • At Kroger, sales like 10/$10 or 2/$5 typically ring up at the individual sale price automatically.
  • You can buy just one item and still get the discount.
  • Mega Events are the main exception since they require a minimum qualifying purchase.
• Watch for seasonal Kroger promotions
  • Kroger also runs special savings events throughout the year, including Online Deal Days and holiday promotions like 12 Merry Days during Christmas.

4. Watch for Kroger Clearance

Kroger clearance deals can lead to some of the BEST grocery savings — especially when they stack with digital coupons or Mega Event sales.

    • Many Kroger stores have special clearance areas with closeout items marked down using clearance stickers over the barcode.
    • Depending on how the item is marked down, digital coupons may or may not apply.
  • Every department has its own clearance area
    • Fresh meat markdowns are usually found on the bottom shelf at one end of the meat case.

5. Pickup & Delivery Deals Are Often Better

Kroger pickup and delivery orders often unlock exclusive savings you won’t find in-store.

• Look for pickup & delivery-only coupons
  • Kroger frequently offers online-exclusive deals like free delivery, $10 off $75 orders, and 20% off select brands.
  • Some pickup days even offer bonus fuel points that beat the regular Friday 4x fuel points promotion.
• Don’t miss the hidden online markdowns
  • Before checkout, Kroger often adds special online-only discounts on meat, bakery items, desserts, and other groceries.
  • These deals can feel like shopping clearance from your couch — and many aren’t discounted in-store.
• ⚠️ Important warning about sale prices
  • Your pickup or delivery date determines your Kroger sale prices.
  • The weekly ad resets early Wednesday morning, so avoid placing Tuesday orders unless you’re picking up or receiving delivery the same day.
