Any child in the U.S. under the age of 13 that used or downloaded apps from Google Play from April 1, 2015 to the present.
What’s This Class Action Settlement About?
The lawsuit claims Google LLC and Google AdMob collected and used the personal information and data from children under 13 who used Google Play apps without proper consent, potentially violating children’s privacy rights. Google denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the lawsuit.
Who Qualifies for the Settlement?
Any U.S resident under the age of 13 at any time between April 1, 2015 and the present who may have downloaded or used an app from Google Play.
How Much Money Can You Get?
The settlement creates an $8.25 million fund to provide payments to eligible class members. That number will depend on the number of approved claims submitted. Payments will be distributed on a proportional basis.
Is Proof Required?
There’s no specific proof necessarily required, however eligible class members must submit a valid claim form by the claim deadline.
Claims must be completed by a parent or legal guardian, if the class member is under the age of 18 as of May 29, 2026
