Wendy’s is about to spice things up with surge pricing – a dynamic twist that gives menu items a mood ring makeover based on their popularity. Wendy’s CEO, Kirk Tanner, told investors during an earnings call this month that the food chain plans on rolling out digital menu boards to US-based restaurants by the end of 2025. These digital menus will allow for price hikes during peak times. The new plans also include AI-enabled suggestive selling and AI chat bots at the drive thru.
