FREE Thanksgiving Meals to Families in Need
For those who need a little extra help this year, there are resources that provide the entire family meal for free. Your best bet is to start here at FeedingAmerica.org and enter your zip code. That will pull up a list of local resources.
If you’re not having luck with food banks, check with local churches. While they may not have anything available at their facility, they usually can point you in the right direction to resources.
Make sure to check local Facebook pages too! You might be surprised how generous local restaurants are. One local barbecue restaurant here in North Texas is giving away full dinners to 150 families in need.
Skip the shopping and get a feast delivered to your door!
Our absolute favorite affordable meal delivery service is Blue Apron. They are doing an incredibly amazing offer right now that will score you a whopping $180 off your first 6 meals dropping the price to just $2.49 per serving, and the first box ships free.
For Thanksgiving week, they have several options that might make for scrumptious non-traditional Thanksgiving feasts – like Butternut Squash Ravioli, Turkey Meatballs in Lemon-Caper Sauce, or Seared Chicken and Dijon Pan Sauce.
