What’s This Class Action Settlement About?
The lawsuit claims certain files containing private information was accessed during the data incident. That information may have included names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers and more.
Who Qualifies for the Settlement?
Any current and former Excel Fitness employee in the U.S. whose personal information may have been potentially accessible during the January 2025 data breach, including individuals who received a notice about the incident.
How Much Money Can You Get?
Eligible class members may receive one or more of the following compensation methods:
- A one-time cash payment of $50 (amount may be higher depending on the number of valid claims submitted)
- Up to $75 for up to three hours spent addressing issues related to the data breach
- Up to $4,000 for out-of-pocket losses related to the incident
- Two Years of CyEx Financial Shield credit monitoring
Is Proof Required?
Proof is not required for the one-time cash payment. However, proper documentation may be required if you are filing a claim for reimbursement for out-of-pocket losses.
