Dollar Tree is bringing back $1 prices—but only on select items! To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Dollar Tree has marked down select products to just $1 for a limited time. Shoppers have reported finding deals on everything from household essentials and drinks to outdoor toys and seasonal items.
These special anniversary bargains aren’t available on every item, and selection will vary by store. Look for $1 anniversary tags throughout the aisles, or use the Dollar Tree app to scan items and confirm pricing before you check out. Many stores have also started adding in-store price scanners, making it easier to check prices as Dollar Tree continues to move away from having one set price throughout the store.
If you’re planning a Dollar Tree run, it’s worth keeping an eye out—you might score some surprising $1 finds!

Remember the good old days when everything at Dollar Tree was just a crisp dollar bill? Back in 2021, prices increased to $1.25, and now some stores are introducing $1.50 pricing on additional items, with products throughout the store ranging anywhere from $1.25 up to $10. If there are items you buy regularly, it may be worth stocking up before prices increase at your local store.
They have also added the Dollar Plus section where you can shop an assortment of name-brand toys, electronics, food, home goods like throw blankets, and seasonal decor for $2, $3, or $5.
The “Dollar Plus” sections have been one of the most popular additions to Dollar Tree stores, allowing shoppers to find more of their needs in one store. This is where they plan to bring over 300 new products, with prices ranging from $1.50 to $7.
Last year, we saw an increase in price on quite a few items. Helium balloons, for example, went from $1.25 to $1.50, and about two-thirds of their greeting cards are now $1 each instead of the longtime 2-for-$1 deal.
