Role Responsibilities & Expectations

In this role, you will review and handle complex medical claims in accordance with established plan processing guidelines. Responibilities include: 

• Reviewing pre‑specified claims and performing claim rework calculations as needed.
• Applying medical necessity guidelines, determining coverage and verifying eligibility 
• Providing guidance, coaching and training to team members 
• Supporting customer service operations by resolving claim-related issues
• Identifying discrepancies, overpayments, underpayments and other claim issues.

Required Skills & Experience

Applicants must have at 18 months of medical claims processing experience with a health insurance payer or third-party administrator. Other required skills and experience include: 

• A high school diploma, GED or equivalent 
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments accurately and efficiently
• Experience working in a high-volume, production-driven environment.

Compensation & Benefits

This full-time position is 40 hours per week and pays $18.50 – $42.35 per hour, depending on factor such as experience, education and location. Full time employees are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off as well as retirement savings options.
