What’s This Class Action Settlement About?
The lawsuit claims Comcast failed to protect customer dta during a cyberattack that occurred between October 16 to October 19, 2023. The breach exposed personal information and Comcast has agreed to a $117.5 million settlement.
Who Qualifies for the Settlement?
Anyone who was sent an individual notification from Comcast regarding the data breach. Any Current and former Comcast/Xfinity customer can also use the settlements website ID Lookup Tool to verify eligibility.
How Much Money Can You Get?
Eligible class members may receive:
- An alternative cash payment of around $50,
- Reimbursement of documented out-of-pocket losses and lost time – up to $10,000 total.
- Identity defense and restoration services
Is Proof Required?
Proof is not required for the alternative cash payment. However the claims for out-of-pocket losses require supporting documentation.
