The lawsuit claims some Bestway above-ground pool models, including Power Steel, Steel Pro and Coleman Power Steel above-ground pools, were designed with compression straps running on the outside of the vertical support legs of the pool. The settlement claim the design and build of the pool is creates a potential drowning hazard.
Who Qualifies for the Settlement?
Any U.S. resident who purchased for personal use and not for resale, a Bestway-branded pool 48 inches in height or taller between 2008 and 2024 (including Power Steel, Steel Pro and Coleman Power Steel models) with compression straps located outside of the support poles.
How Much Money Can You Get?
A $15,000,000 settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against Bestway Inc, Bestway Inflatables & Material Corp, or related.
Is Proof Required?
No, proof of purchase is not required. However, you may receive more than the base payout of $40 if you have a valid proof of purchase, such as a receipt.
