Fast Fashion, Slightly Less Fast & Cheap 💸
Shein and TEMU shoppers, take note: prices are going up April 25th. Both brands have announced adjustments in response to recent changes in U.S. trade rules.
Starting April 25, a key tariff exemption (known as the “de minimis” loophole) is being tightened, impacting low-cost imports from overseas. Since Shein and TEMU rely heavily on shipping from China, they’re adjusting their pricing to reflect the new landscape.
Both retailers have already emailed customers about the changes, so don’t be surprised if your cart total starts creeping up. The deals aren’t disappearing—but the era of ultra-ultra-cheap might be shifting. 👛📦
