What is Pi Day?

Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant pi (π), approximately equal to 3.14. This fun holiday is observed every year on March 14th because the date, 3/14, corresponds to the first three digits of pi. Pi Day was officially recognized in 2009 by the U.S. House of Representatives and has since become a global celebration promoting math education.
