Role Responsibilities & Expectations
This role requires weekend availability with coverage expected on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 am ET to 7:00 pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Posting and managing content across Newsweek’s social media channels like Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp and more.
- Creating and scheduling four posts per hour while working closely with the editorial to ensure timely and accurate content.
- Monitoring comments and trends
- Tracking and reporting content performance with the social media team
- Ensure all posts reflect Newsweek’s voice, editorial standards, and visual identity
Required Skills & Experience
Applicants should have prior experience managing social media accounts with a strong understand of social media platforms, trends and best practices.
While this is a remote position, the candidate must be US-based
Compensation & Benefits
This freelance position offers an hourly pay rate of $20 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.
