What is the settlement about? A $990,000 settlement was reached with Galderma Laboratories, L.P. regarding allegations that they misled consumers about potential benzene contamination in specific Differin branded acne treatments. Galderma denies any wrongdoing, including claims that the products were contaminated or the labeling was misleading.
Who’s Eligible – All persons in the United States, D.C., and U.S. Territories who purchased the following products for personal use between January 1, 2020, and February 19, 2026:
- Differin Daily Deep Cleanser (5% BPO)
- Differin Acne Spot Treatment (10% BPO)
- Differin Maximum Strength Acne Foaming Cleanser (10% BPO)
Award Amount –
- With Proof of Purchase: $9.00 for each Covered Product. There is no limit on the number of products you can claim with receipts.
- Without Proof of Purchase: $9.00 per product, for a maximum of three products ($27.00 total).
Proof of Purchase – Not required for claims of up to three products. Required for claims exceeding three products.
Claim Deadline – May 19th, 2026
